IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR CHECKUPS
Regular visits at the dentist (in child's early age) have several reasons:
– the child knows the doctor and his/her ambulance which prevents from traumas at later age
– the doctor controls the right eruption of teeth
– early discovery of caries allows a quick and painless treatment ošetrenie.
In case of strong destruction baby teeth may fall out very early and other teeth may move into these gaps due to which permanent teeth cannot erupt at the right place and they are curved.
Fluoridation and early treatment of dental caries of baby teeth significantly reduces the risk of curved eruption of permanent teeth and a subsequent necessity of wearing and orthodontic apparatus.
The first dental check-up should be done during the child's first year and then every six month up to their adulthood.
